Fossil Otodus Shark Tooth Pendant Necklace

Regular price $65.00

Those who have been following my work for a long time know about my reverent attitude to paleontology.

This summer we got some amazing ancient gizmos.
Including the fossilized teeth of the ancient shark Otodus.

Otodus (Otodus), which means “inclined teeth” in Greek, dominated the oceans during the Paleocene-Eocene, 60–45 million years ago. The Otodus grew to 9.1 m in length and weighed 900–1800 kg. This shark was a direct ancestor of the massive Megalodon and had similar habits. Mostly Otodus hunted whales.

To this ancient symbol of world ocean dominance, I added a cabochon from the Labrador Eye of the Prehistoric Ocean.
